Maritime training in Göcek since 2006
Özel Yeni Vira Denizcilik Yelken ve Gemi Adamları Kursu was founded in 2006 in Göcek, in the Fethiye district of Muğla, Türkiye. We offer the certificate courses seafarers need under one roof, from yacht captain to safety and medical training.
Our courses combine theory and practice. You learn in the classroom, try it on the simulator, then apply it in real conditions on our training vessel, our fire-fighting platform and our lifeboat stations.
Our team of 20 people, including 14 instructors, supports you at every step from the first consultation to the GASM exam. Our trainees' high exam pass rates are the result of this approach.

Our centre is at Göcek Mahallesi, İnönü Bulvarı No:35, Fethiye / Muğla, Türkiye. Göcek is a short drive from Dalaman Airport, so it is easy to reach for trainees coming from other cities or abroad.
Which maritime courses do you offer?
We offer yacht captain (149 GT, 499 GT and unlimited), limited officer of the watch (STCW A-II/3), able seafarer deck (STCW A-II/5), navigational watch rating, GMDSS restricted operator's certificate (ROC), radar observation and plotting, ARPA, fire fighting, security and medical first aid courses.
What is the difference between basic, practical, combined and refresher courses?
The basic course covers the theory part of a programme, and the practical course covers the hands-on part at sea and on simulators. The combined course completes both in a single programme. Refresher courses are for those who want to renew the validity of an existing certificate.
Where does practical training take place?
Practical training takes place on our 16.76-metre training vessel, our fast boat, our bridge, GMDSS and radar/ARPA simulators, our fire-fighting platform and our lifeboat stations.
Do you help with exam preparation?
Yes. Our courses include preparation for the Turkish maritime authority's GASM exams, and our trainees achieve high pass rates. We also guide you through the certificate application after the exam.
